Saturday Respite is one of TAPA’s most popular programs. It meets weekly, September – June, from 9am until noon each week. For three hours students rotate between music, art, yoga, and dance classes. They also stop for a mid-morning snack to refuel!

This program is a great way for new students to get to know TAPA and to try a variety of classes. It allows teachers to spend 1-on-1 time with with students and helps to give students the consistency of a formal setting over the weekend. The focus on recreation and socialization allows students to form new friendships and spend quality time with volunteers and faculty that have become friends. Every student works with a 1-on-1 for help focusing, socializing, and transitioning.

For parents and caregivers, the Saturday program gives some you some free time to run errands, take a yoga class, or just relax. We believe that a well-rested parent is a more effective parent and we are proud to provide respite for families who need it.

During the year a variety of scholarships (full and partial) may become available depending on donations and sponsorship. For more information, please call 516-432-0200 to discuss your financial needs. IMG_0049
